Few Options for Treating Autism

Article is about the vision of a woman with a child with autistic-spectrum disorders, the treatments are very limited for autism and other developmental disabilities.The experts know the increase of number of persons with this disorder, while they assure that an early intervention improves the results and the best treatment is educational intervention an occupatinal therapy. With regard to the parents, they do everything that improve the quality of life of your children.

Regarding the families with a child with this disorder present several obstacles:

The programs of the government are limited for the great demand

Families don't have a support of courts with regard to the public schools

Medical assurances don't cover this kind of interventions.

And while the system don't change to overcome these limitations the parents and the children with autistic-spectrum disorders will have to work alone to reach your objectives.

This subjects is talking about insertion in the society of people with disabilities to achieve a better social participation of them and for this we as society, we can generate the oportunities for their insertion through programs that facilitate the developments of social and communicative abilities principally and with this the persons has a most participation in the labour area.

This atracted my interest because through work the persons with disabilities develop diferent abilities but most important is quality of life improves with a work according to the skills, motivations and interest of each person.

I learned in this subject about the related laws to the disability also the benefits that persons have in the society and postive concepts about this topic, with this I am doing with some classmates a proyect of evaluation in the integration of persons with asperger in a creativity course in the Occupational Therapy school.

In connection with this subject I'd like to know different ways to achieve the integration for each disability and to deepen in the knowledge of posibilities like laws or different organizations that Chile have to achieve proyects in this topic and as Occupational Therapist is very important develop this area.

My past weekend...

The past weekend was very special for me because the may 21 was the mum's birthday.

The saturday in the night I played Texas Hold'em with my family, is a kind of Poker if you didn't know it. We play with money but we not bet to much, it's just for to make it more exciting. Finally I won hahhahahaah I'm so modest. It's not true, hardly ever I win for that I would want to mention it.

The sunday was more boring but the monday was more funny. We celebrated the birthday of my mother, some relatives arrived to my house and in the afternoon we eated many delicious things. My family was very glad, specially my mum.

I enjoyed to my family the past weekend and that I have much value for me.

Scientific area !!!!!

Uhhhhh, for to explain how I did become interested in this area of study I must talking about my childhood because It begun to like me in the visits to the doctor. He was very kind with my family and he were travelling for many countries and that I liked it.

Then in my school I liked the mathematics, biology, physical and chemistry subjects and I hated language and history because I don't have ability for to express differents feelings in a paper, it's very difficult for me. For all this I wanted to study Medicine and to help to many people but finally I started to study Occupational Therapy.

Now, I'm very happy for my choice but still I have difficult for psicology and the different homework, for example, I must doing a essay for bioethics subjects and I hate it.
I like Occupational Therapy and for this I continue studying it because It's a career with a social area very important in that I can help to different persons with desability in order that they have a better quality of life.

I have many things that I can't throw away because they have a sentimental value. Many of these things have been given for specially persons that I love so much and now they are not with me. For example I have a shoes and they are very destroyed because I wore them much time, I liked this shoes and they were very comfortable, I used them all the time. My grandmother gave them to me and because of it I cannot throw them but I don't want to do it either. When I see them I remember that moment in that she gave me the shoes and I feel good.
